The Chancellor of Ekiti State University, Dr. Tunji Olowolafe, has launched an ambitious initiative to nurture innovation and entrepreneurship among the university’s graduates and students. During the 28th convocation ceremony, Dr. Olowolafe announced the creation of a N1 billion Innovative Fund. This groundbreaking fund aims to provide financial backing and resources to aspiring entrepreneurs in the agricultural technology sector, particularly the graduating class of 2021/22 and other students of the institution.

Furthermore, the programme will extend support to the university’s academic staff. Up to 30 faculty members will benefit from subsidies and assistance to enhance their participation in international conferences, training sessions, and research activities. Dr. Olowolafe emphasized the significance of equipping educators to contribute to global discourse and advancements within their respective fields.
